Pharm.D. Program Admissions and Student Affairs
The associate dean for admissions and student affairs is responsible for all services provided to prospective and current professional program students related to academic, social, or professional matters. The academic functions of the office include: coordination and implementation of advising for prospective and current professional program students; coordination and execution of admissions procedures; implementation of academic policies; development and conduct of orientation; coordination of student communications; registration of students and related administration; coordination with the registrar to schedule pharmacy courses and academic spaces within the Pharmacy-Biology Building or other University of Connecticut facilities; creation of reports for the Office of Institutional Research, and other reporting agencies regarding program course loads and descriptions, student statistics, and tuition; administration of academic warnings and dismissals; and coordination of student evaluations for pharmacy courses and faculty.
The student service functions of the office include: coordination of career services; administration of financial aid and scholarship programs in conjunction with the Office of Business & Technology Services; coordination with the Office of Marketing & Communications for the scheduling and execution of student events, ceremonies, and activities; coordination with and advising of the Pharmacy Student Government; and coordination of student elections.
