In this application-based continuing pharmacy education activity Jeannette Wick, RPh, discusses the process of changing careers within the pharmacy profession.

Target Audience:

Pharmacists who may be interested in following a different path within the pharmacy profession.

This activity is not accredited for technicians

Learning objectives:

At the conclusion of the activity, pharmacists will be able to:

·         Assemble a list of short- and long-term career goals
·         Identify several alternative routes to career change
·         Construct a plan to acquire the skills, abilities, and resume fodder necessary to affect change
·         Develop a flexible skills-based resume to showcase experience and potential
·         Use SMART goals to move toward career goals continuously

The University of Connecticut, School of Pharmacy, is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. 1.0 contact hour (0.1 CEU) will be awarded to pharmacists who view the presentation, pass the learning assessment with a grade of 70% or better and complete an evaluation. (ACPE #0009-0000-16-076-H04-P) Credits will  be electronically submitted to CPE Monitor within 72 hours of completing the activity.
