Covenant Soup Kitchen
On the first and third Friday of every month, health professions students of various disciplines come together to host a free walk-in clinic for Covenant Soup Kitchen patrons and other members of the community who experience difficulty accessing health care. Guests of the soup kitchen are generally homeless and very low-income earners with mental illness and substance abuse problems. Health professions students all work together to provide quality care for this medically underserved population. The interdisciplinary clinic is unique in that patients are given extra attention and ample time to voice concerns or ask questions regarding their health.
