Pharmacy Alumnus Rick Carbray Elected to UConn Board of Trustees

The Alumni Trustee Canvassing Committee announces that Rick Carbray ’75 (School of Pharmacy) has been elected as the new Alumni Trustee for a four year term. Rick is a pharmacist and owner of Apex Pharmacy and Home Health Center in Hamden, Connecticut, and a past president of the UConn Alumni Association.

The Alumni Association thanks both Rick Carbray and Pat Sheehan for their efforts in this campaign and for their many contributions to UConn over the years. The University is fortunate to have strong leadership from these two loyal alumni. Rick is filling the Alumni Trustee position held by Andrea Dennis-LaVigne who has completed her second term as Alumni Trustee. To honor Andrea’s long-term service to the Alumni Association and the University, a scholarship has been established in her honor. You can read more about the scholarship here: http://today.uconn.edu/blog/2011/08/advancing-diversity/

I am grateful to Rachel Rubin, Eric Judge and Ron Schurin for their dedicated service as members of the Alumni Trustee Canvassing Committee and to this past year’s Nominating Committee for its work in selecting two outstanding candidates.
