UConn Evidence-Based Practice Center
The federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality has designated UConn as an Evidence-based Practice Center (EPC). Only a few of these elite centers are designated across North America’s premier universities and health systems. From 2008 to the present, the UConn EPC has provided the federal government and their key stakeholders — payers, clinicians, national medical and patient advocate organizations, and patients — with comparative effectiveness assessments that support evidence-based treatment decisions.
The UConn Evidence-Based Practice Center is a signature center within the HOPES Collaborative Group, a multidisciplinary group of faculty with wide ranging skills, an international reputation for excellence, and capacity to produce high quality results. Our strength is clinical expertise laid over strong technical and methodological expertise. We understand the clinical dilemmas that health care providers face on a daily basis so we are able assess and create projects that have maximal clinical impact.
